Dear Supporter,
A recent article in the Edmonds Beacon stated:
"With peace established between unions and management, and orders piling up for Boeing jets, stakeholders who want to see Paine Field develop into an “Aerospace Center of National Significance” (ACNS) are feeling increasingly emboldened about the concept.
A step toward that goal could include development of an “Innovation Corridor Campus” on the airport’s west side, some proponents suggest. They say the 80-acre site might include aviation technology companies, aerospace education campuses, a hotel/conference center and other aerospace-related facilities.
Those who oppose commercial passenger service at Paine Field see an opportunity to further solidify the airport’s importance as an industrial center that provides high-paying manufacturing jobs, rather than low-wage jobs for baggage handlers and car rental workers."
An Innovation Corridor Campus sounds like a great idea! It would complement and reinforce our push to establish Paine Field as an Aerospace Center of National Significance.
SOC will push for this and will contact our County officials to lend our support along these lines. Please respond with comments or suggestions to us at info@socnw.org socnw.org/donate
